Privacy Policy
The short version: this site sells nothing directly, runs no ads, and does not sell or share your personal information. Buy buttons send you to a retailer: Amazon, Versus Pro Shop, or an authorized dealer.
01Who we are
Twins Enterprises LLC, doing business as Sequel Action Sports ("Sequel", "we"). We are the data controller for this website. Privacy contact: sales@sequelscooters.com. For Québec's Law 25, our designated person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at the same address.
02What we process, and what we don't
- Hosting & security logs. Our host processes your IP address to deliver pages and prevent abuse. On first visit, one request to a country-lookup service (api.country.is) returns your country from your IP so buy buttons route to the right store; it stores nothing and sets no cookies. Logs are short-lived and not used to profile you.
- Your choices, on your device. Region override, consent choices and dealer-locator preferences are stored in your browser. They never leave your device.
- Location (optional). If you use "Find my nearest dealer", your position is read by your browser with your permission and the distance math happens on your device. Your coordinates are never sent to us or any server, and are only remembered on your device if you allow it.
- Analytics (optional). Only with your consent. Anonymous, cookieless server-side counting (page totals, no identifiers) runs regardless; it cannot identify you.
- Embedded content (optional). The live Instagram feed and the dealer map load from third parties only after you allow them; see the Cookie policy.
- Nothing else. No accounts, no checkout, no newsletter, no ad trackers, no session recording, no sale or sharing of personal information. If you email us or use the customer service form, we keep your message only as long as needed to answer it.
03Legal bases (EU / UK)
- Legitimate interest: serving pages securely, fraud/abuse prevention, country-level routing (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / UK GDPR).
- Consent: analytics, social embeds, map tiles, device location (Art. 6(1)(a); Reg. 6 PECR / Art. 5(3) ePrivacy). Withdrawing is as easy as giving: use Privacy settings in the site footer.
04Who receives data
- Retailers you click through to: Amazon (US), Versus Pro Shop (Canada), authorized dealers (EU/UK). Once there, their privacy policies apply.
- Service providers: our hosting provider (US); OpenStreetMap Foundation (map tiles, only if loaded; UK); Meta/Instagram and Behold (social feed, only if loaded); Google (web fonts; analytics only with consent).
For EU/UK visitors: where a provider processes data in the US, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
05Retention
- Consent record: kept on your device up to 12 months, then we ask again. Withdraw any time.
- Hosting logs: per our host's standard schedule (days, not months).
- Location: on your device only; clear it in the dealer locator or your browser settings.
06Your rights
- United States: depending on your state (California CCPA/CPRA and similar laws): the right to know, access, correct, delete, and to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal. We will never discriminate for exercising rights; appeals go to the same contact.
- Canada: under PIPEDA and Québec Law 25: access and correction, withdrawal of consent, de-indexing, and complaint rights with the OPC (Canada) or the CAI (Québec).
- EU & UK: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Complaints: your local Data Protection Authority, or the ICO (UK).
Exercise any right at sales@sequelscooters.com. We answer within 30 days.
07Kids
Sequel scooters are ridden by kids; this website is not aimed at them. We collect no names, accounts, or contact details from anyone, including children, and the optional feed, map and analytics stay off without an affirmative choice. In Québec, visitors under 14 should have a parent or guardian manage consent choices.
08Changes
We'll update this page and refresh the "last updated" date when anything changes materially. Significant changes re-trigger the consent prompt.
